The short version: MyMajorMap gives you educational guidance about careers, majors, and schools based on your answers and public data. It's a map, not a promise — we can't guarantee admission, a job, or a salary. Buy the Full Report once and it's yours for as long as we run the service. Be a normal human with it and we'll get along fine.
These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and MyMajorMap covering the website mymajormap.com and the MyMajorMap iOS app (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18 (or under the age of majority where you live), you may use the Service only with the knowledge and permission of a parent or legal guardian — and any purchase must be made or approved by them. The Service is not directed at children under 13.
MyMajorMap is an educational guidance tool. Your results — career matches, percentages, school suggestions, cost figures, salary figures, gap-year and military information, action plans, and everything else — are estimates generated from your own answers combined with publicly available labor and education data. They are provided for exploration and discussion.
The Service is not professional career counseling, academic advising, financial advice, legal advice, or medical or psychological advice, and no result is a guarantee of admission to any school, employment, income, visa eligibility, military eligibility, or any other outcome. Costs, salaries, program details, and school information change constantly — always verify specifics directly with schools, employers, recruiters, and official sources before making decisions. Decisions you make based on the Service are yours.
Your answers and results are stored locally on your device, as described in the Privacy Policy. Clearing your browser data or deleting the app deletes them; we can't restore results we never had. You can retake the assessment free at any time.
The website's Full Report is a one-time purchase (currently $19.99, plus any applicable tax) processed by Stripe on Stripe's secure checkout pages. "Lifetime access" means access for as long as MyMajorMap operates the Service, on the device and browser where you unlock it (plus our restore option for the email used at checkout). It is a license to use the report personally — not a transferable or resellable product.
Refunds: if something's broken or the report isn't what you expected, email us within 14 days of purchase at caden@mymajormap.com and we'll work with you, up to and including a refund. If a purchase is refunded or a payment is disputed or reversed, access to the Full Report ends.
Promo codes are one per purchase, may expire or be withdrawn at any time, and have no cash value.
The app's Full Report (currently $9.99) is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple through your Apple ID. Pricing may differ between the website and the app; each is a separate product on its own platform, and a purchase on one does not unlock the other. Payments, billing, and refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's terms — refund requests go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. The "Restore purchase" button restores an in-app purchase already made with your Apple ID.
The Service — its assessment, questions, matching logic, report text, design, graphics, and code — is owned by MyMajorMap and protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for your own education and career exploration. You may share your own results (including the PDF report) with family, counselors, and schools. You may not copy, scrape, resell, republish, reverse-engineer, or build a competing product from the Service.
The Service refers to real universities, colleges, trade programs, employers, military branches, and organizations by name, for identification only. All such names and any associated trademarks belong to their respective owners. MyMajorMap is independent: we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any school, employer, government agency, or military branch mentioned in the Service, and their appearance in your results is our editorial suggestion, not their endorsement of us (or of you — that part's your job).
Don't misuse the Service: no unlawful use, no attempting to breach or overload our systems, no automated scraping or bulk extraction, no misrepresenting MyMajorMap output as an official document of any school or agency, and no using the Service to harm others. Schools and organizations interested in group use should contact us for a license instead of sharing one purchase.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data figure is current. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MyMajorMap and its partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, opportunities, admissions, or earnings, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or $20 if you paid nothing). Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Talk to us first — a real human reads caden@mymajormap.com and most issues get fixed fast. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Arizona. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If you breach these terms, we may suspend or end your access to the Service.
These terms are between you and MyMajorMap only — not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app and is not responsible for the app, its content, or any claims relating to it (including product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual-property claims). In the event of any failure of the app to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the app's purchase price (the app is free, so: nothing further). You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and are not on any U.S. government restricted-party list. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
We may update these terms as the Service evolves; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms. We may change prices or features prospectively — that never revokes a Full Report you already unlocked (except as described in the refund section).
